Heather Spytek is an American actress, glamour and nude model. She was born on December 12, 1977, in Woodbury, New Jersey. Playboy named her its June 2001 Playmate at 23. Her appearance came in the 2000s, as Playboy's print tradition began to share space with an expanding online presence.
Spytek has enhanced breasts, brown eyes and blond hair. Her measurements are 36-22-32.
Heather Spytek began performing long before she became a professional model. Her father was the lead singer and guitarist for the 1960s rock group the Magnatones, and she started dancing at three, studying ballet, tap and jazz. At eleven, she entered her first beauty pageant. After attending private school in Florida and later a liberal arts college in New Jersey, she pursued swimsuit competitions, promotional assignments and modeling for clothing lines, including the MGM Grand Model Search.
Hawaiian Tropic provided Spytek with her first significant national exposure. While working for the company on a modeling assignment in Miami, she was approached by a Playboy scout and invited to audition as both a model and an actress for a Playboy production. Playboy told the story somewhat differently—and more colorfully: in 2000, Spytek attended the Golden Globes hoping to meet Hugh Hefner, only to be prevented from approaching him on the red carpet. By the following year, she was attending the event as an invited Playboy guest.
Her Playboy work quickly spread beyond the American edition. During 2001, her pictorial appeared in editions published in Greece, Spain, the Czech Republic, France, Slovakia, Japan and Italy, followed by Romania in 2002. Playboy Japan also selected her for its August 2001 cover. Additional photographs appeared in Playboy USA and Playboy Russia, while she was featured in calendars and specialty publications including The Girls of Summer.
Spytek also appeared in the Playboy-produced video The Making of a Playmate, where her years of dance training became directly relevant to her work on camera. She performed a choreographed dance set to music written for the production. Her modeling career subsequently slowed after she married a serviceman she had met while working in Miami. Life as a military wife involved extensive travel in the United States and abroad, leaving considerably less time for regular modeling assignments.
While living in Japan in 2013, Spytek was approached by an international photographer and began modeling again. Subsequent work included projects produced in Japan, the Bahamas, Jamaica, Costa Rica, Italy and Mexico, as well as commercial videos for a winery, hotels, swimwear and fashion brands. She later added editorial and advertising assignments and work connected with a travel and humanitarian reality program. More than a decade after her original Playboy run, the international travel that had once interrupted Spytek’s modeling career ultimately provided the setting for its restart.
