Lauren Michelle Hill is an American actress, glamour and nude model. She was born on June 27, 1979, in Columbia, South Carolina, and has also been credited as Lauren Hill. Playboy named her its February 2001 Playmate at 21. Her appearance came in the 2000s, as Playboy's print tradition began to share space with an expanding online presence.

Lauren Michelle Hill grew up with modeling as part of ordinary family life. Her mother owned a modeling agency in South Carolina and took Hill, her two brothers and her sister to auditions while they were young. Hill began with department-store catalogs and Hasbro toy-box artwork, later moving into advertisements for hair-care products. Acting came early as well, with childhood roles in Made in Heaven and Heavyweights.
At the University of South Carolina, Hill studied journalism and was a cheerleader before modeling again began to pull her toward a different career. She moved to Los Angeles and appeared on Baywatch as a junior lifeguard. A Playboy scout later spotted her at a swimsuit competition in St. Croix. Hill initially resisted the magazine’s invitation, explaining that she considered herself too “normal-looking” to be a Playmate, but she ultimately agreed and appeared on Playboy’s October 2000 cover before her centerfold followed.
