Irina Voronina built her modeling career internationally before settling in Los Angeles. After growing up in Dzerzhinsk, she moved to Milan at twenty, signed with an agency and began booking print work and television commercials. Assignments later took her through other European markets, but the United States was the destination she was determined to reach. At Playboy Studio West, she introduced herself to Marilyn Grabowski rather than waiting to be discovered, an approach that matched the confidence she described as central to her career.
Playboy became the foundation for a much broader modeling portfolio. Voronina worked with photographers including Terry Richardson, Matthew Rolston, Antoine Verglas and David LaChapelle, and appeared in campaigns for SKYY Vodka, Miller Lite, Michelob Ultra, Bacardi, Sisley and Detour. Comedy eventually became one of the most distinctive parts of Voronina’s career. Drawing on her Russian upbringing, international modeling experience and life in the United States, she moved into stand-up and performed at Los Angeles venues including The Comedy Store, Laugh Factory, Flappers and The Ice House.
