Playboy named her its July 2011 Playmate at 27. Her appearance came during Playboy's contemporary era of international and digital publishing.

Jessa Hinton entered entertainment years before modeling became part of her career. Discovered by a talent manager at 14, she appeared in television commercials and landed early roles on Baywatch and 7th Heaven while maintaining strong grades in school. She also helped care for six younger brothers and sisters after classes, an experience she credited with developing the confidence that she could handle demanding workloads.
Modeling began at 18 and eventually brought Hinton from Los Angeles to Las Vegas, where she became closely associated with the Palms.
