Rainy Day Jordan Bio
Rainy Day Jordan is an American glamour and nude model. She was born on April 8, 1991, in Abilene, Texas, and has also been credited as Rainy Day. Playboy named her its December 2011 Playmate at 20. Her appearance came during Playboy's contemporary era of international and digital publishing.
Jordan has natural breasts, brown eyes and brown hair. Her measurements are 34-24-37.
Rainy Day Jordan came to Playboy while studying nursing and living close to the rural Texas environment in which she had grown up. She ran track and played basketball in high school, enjoyed horseback riding and was comfortable with the practical routines of country life. Modeling was not intended as a replacement for nursing; her specific ambition was to become a Playmate and then return to her education.
Her fascination with Playboy began after discovering an April 1969 issue of the magazine featuring Vanessa Redgrave. Years later, Jordan acted on that interest by attending a Playboy casting call in Dallas in February 2011. Two months afterward she was called back for Special Editions work and was also featured as Playboy’s Coed of the Week in April, giving her an early introduction to the magazine before her centerfold selection.
Jordan subsequently traveled to Miami for a shoot with Jarmo Pohjaniemi and to Los Angeles to work with Stephen Wayda. Their recommendations helped bring her photographs to Hugh Hefner’s attention, and Hefner approved her for a centerfold. The process was particularly significant for Jordan because she had previously never traveled outside Texas; Playboy assignments suddenly took her to Florida, California and Nevada.
Promotional appearances followed, including hosting duties at Playboy events. Jordan participated in the Playboy Comedy Show at the Palms in Las Vegas and was scheduled to spend New Year’s Eve working alongside fellow Playmate Jessa Hinton. She also became close with other women in the Playboy circle and expressed interest in remaining involved with the company, whether in front of the camera or eventually behind it.
Jordan took a year away from college to accommodate her Playboy commitments but intended to resume her nursing studies afterward. Her family supported the decision, and she continued living in the Abilene area with her boyfriend and their dogs while adjusting to newfound recognition. Despite the travel and promotional opportunities that followed her selection, her stated long-term plans remained firmly in Texas: completing her education, working as a nurse and raising a family.
