Gia Marie is an American professional stylist, makeup artist, glamour and nude model. She was born Gia Marie Barsocchini on February 5, 1985, in Malibu, California. Playboy named her its November 2014 Playmate at 29. Her appearance came during Playboy's contemporary era of international and digital publishing.
Marie has natural breasts, hazel eyes and red hair. Her measurements are 34-25-34.
Gia Marie was already comfortable on both sides of a professional shoot before Playboy entered her career. She began modeling in high school after being noticed by a photographer on a Malibu beach, then enrolled in makeup school after graduation to develop the skills she had long been interested in. Photography, hair and makeup became as important to her professional identity as modeling itself.
That combination led to a remarkably varied working life. Marie traveled internationally as both a model and makeup artist, contributing to music videos, television commercials, editorial shoots and print campaigns while working with numerous celebrities and musicians. Her styling clients included Britney Spears and The Black Keys, and she also appeared as a model in the Sports Illustrated 50th Anniversary pictorial.
Playboy discovered Marie through Instagram and invited her to test for Playmate. The opportunity matched an interest that went back to childhood, when she and her friends would sneak copies of Playboy from a neighbor’s garage and study the styling of the women inside. Marie also contacted the magazine’s creative director herself, ensuring that curiosity turned into a genuine professional opportunity rather than remaining a distant ambition.
Her Playmate pictorial, photographed by Josh Ryan, was shot at the Sheats-Goldstein Residence, the modernist Los Angeles landmark used as Jackie Treehorn’s house in The Big Lebowski. Its blend of 1960s design and contemporary Los Angeles glamour suited Marie particularly well, given her own fascination with vintage aesthetics, modern beauty work and carefully constructed imagery.
Marie continued working with Playboy beyond her centerfold, appearing on two Playboy covers, participating in events and serving as a Playmate ambassador for the brand.
