Kia Drayton is an American actress, DJ, glamour and nude model. She was born on April 11, 1983, in Goldsboro, North Carolina, and has also been credited as DJ Jazzy Belle. Playboy named her its December 2006 Playmate at 23. Her appearance came in the 2000s, as Playboy's print tradition began to share space with an expanding online presence.
Drayton has enhanced breasts, brown eyes and black hair. Her measurements are 34-24-34.
Kia Drayton spent much of her childhood adapting to new surroundings. Her father’s military career required the family to relocate repeatedly, an experience she remembered as difficult because she was frequently the newcomer at school. By her early twenties, Atlanta had become the center of her working life, and she graduated from Redan High School in nearby Stone Mountain before pursuing studies in interior design at the Art Institute of Atlanta.
Promotional and calendar modeling provided Drayton with her first significant exposure. While working at Hooters, she was selected as the centerfold of the restaurant chain’s 2004 swimsuit calendar. She also appeared in Smooth magazine and became a recurring calendar model for Atlanta Dymes. Her visibility extended into music when she appeared in a video for rapper 50 Cent, placing her increasingly close to Atlanta’s entertainment and nightlife scene.
Playboy contacted Drayton with an invitation to test rather than requiring her to submit through an open casting call. During the process she became friendly with Kendra Wilkinson, who encouraged Hugh Hefner to consider her. What Drayton expected to be a three-day visit developed into three months at the Playboy Mansion, followed by another five months living at the Bunny House. The extended stay immersed her in the social world surrounding Playboy during the mid-2000s.
Music occupied an equally distinctive place in Drayton’s life. She worked as a DJ and assembled a vinyl collection that she said exceeded 20,000 records, with hip-hop, R&B and Motown among her strongest interests. Los Angeles eventually became an important professional base, where modeling and DJ work could develop alongside the relationships she had established through Playboy.
Drayton also faced an unwanted episode of publicity in April 2007 when she and personal trainer Otis Leon Story were arrested after more than a kilogram of cocaine was discovered in their North Charleston, South Carolina hotel room. The charges against Drayton were subsequently dropped after authorities determined that the cocaine belonged to Story.
