Kimberly Phillips is an American glamour and nude model. She was born Kimberly Christine Phillips on January 9, 1987, in Fountain Valley, California. Playboy named her its September 2009 Playmate at 22. Her appearance came in the 2000s, as Playboy's print tradition began to share space with an expanding online presence.

Kimberly Phillips came to Playboy without previous professional modeling experience, after balancing college with two jobs. She studied liberal arts while working as both a waitress and preschool teacher, trying to cover tuition, car payments and everyday expenses. Despite having graduated from high school with straight A’s, the combination of work and school had become financially difficult, prompting her to consider an unconventional way of changing her circumstances.
Phillips and her best friend eventually took photographs specifically to submit to Playboy Studio West. She approached the submission without expecting much from it, but Playboy responded within two days and invited her to test for Playmate. The rapid progression surprised Phillips, who had never built the conventional modeling portfolio that often preceded such an opportunity. Stephen Wayda photographed her centerfold.
Playboy continued working with Phillips well beyond her original pictorial. She appeared on several episodes of The Girls Next Door and later returned to the magazine as the cover model for its October 2010 issue. She was also chosen to help launch The Smoking Jacket, Playboy’s entertainment website, appearing in an exclusive collection of photographs and videos created for the project.
The financial and professional impact was immediate. Phillips said Playboy enabled her to clear debts, travel internationally and develop greater confidence in pursuing modeling. After completing her centerfold shoot, she relocated to Los Angeles and began taking regular castings, photography assignments and Playboy hosting engagements. Although modeling interrupted her education, she remained interested in eventually returning to school and completing a higher degree beyond the associate degree in liberal arts she had already earned.
Reading, cooking and animals occupied Phillips when she was not working. She preferred traditional printed books to electronic readers and expressed support for animal rights, choosing vegetarian food when practical. Los Angeles also gave her a considerably different daily life from the period when she was simultaneously waiting tables, teaching preschool and attending college, with time between assignments often spent at the beach with her boyfriend and their dogs.
