Dasha Astafieva is a Ukrainian actress, singer, glamour and nude model. She was born on August 4, 1985, in Ordzhonikidze, Ukraine. Playboy named her its January 2009 Playmate at 23. Her appearance came in the 2000s, as Playboy's print tradition began to share space with an expanding online presence.
Astafieva has natural breasts, brown eyes and black hair. Her measurements are 34-23-36.
Dasha Astafieva reached Playboy after establishing herself in Ukraine as both a model and singer. After finishing school, she moved to Dnipropetrovsk, studied at a theatrical college and began working in modeling. Music soon became equally important: she joined the female pop group NikitA, whose provocative videos and highly stylized image attracted substantial attention in Ukraine and Russia.
Astafieva’s first major Playboy distinction came through the Ukrainian edition, where she was named Playmate of the Year in 2007. That recognition helped bring her into consideration for Playboy’s international search for its 55th Anniversary Playmate, a competition involving hundreds of candidates from the United States and Europe. She traveled to Los Angeles in 2008, spent several weeks at the Playboy Mansion and appeared on The Girls Next Door while participating in the anniversary selection.
Hugh Hefner ultimately chose Astafieva as the magazine’s 55th Anniversary Playmate, giving her a rare international distinction within Playboy’s history. The selection dramatically expanded her visibility beyond Eastern Europe, and her Playboy imagery was subsequently published in numerous international editions. She also continued appearing at Playboy-related events, including an appearance connected with the launch of Playboy Lithuania and later a NikitA performance at a private Playboy event in Las Vegas.
Music remained central to Astafieva’s career during the same period. NikitA released its debut album Mashina in 2009, while videos such as “Mashina” and “Verevki” generated controversy for their overtly provocative presentation and received heavy media attention. The group’s success positioned Astafieva as a recognizable pop figure independently of her Playboy work, combining modeling, performance and music within a single public persona.
Astafieva also pursued acting, including a lead role in the independent film Lovers in Kiev.
