Candice Cassidy is an American actress, glamour and nude model. She was born on October 23, 1985, in Columbus, Ohio. Playboy named her its June 2009 Playmate at 23. Her appearance came in the 2000s, as Playboy's print tradition began to share space with an expanding online presence.
Cassidy has natural breasts, brown eyes and blond hair. Her measurements are 34-24-36.
Candice Cassidy built her life around dance despite growing up on a 60-acre Ohio horse farm where her parents bred Tennessee Walkers. Her mother enrolled her in dance classes at three, beginning an interest that eventually became a profession. Rather than taking over the family business, Cassidy opened her own dance studio, Rhythm ’n’ Rhinestones, where she taught tap, jazz, ballet and lyrical dance several evenings each week.
Playboy first entered Cassidy’s career after she submitted photographs at 21. She was selected as a Cybergirl of the Week in July 2006 and advanced to Cybergirl of the Month that November. Her Cyber Club work included an unusual series of pictorials recreating Playboy aesthetics from the 1950s, 1960s, 1970s and 1980s, giving her an extended association with the magazine several years before she received a centerfold.
Her Playmate pictorial carried its own connections to Playboy history. Hugh Hefner personally designed the concept, reportedly his first centerfold shoot design in more than a decade, while Holly Madison served as director. Arny Freytag photographed Cassidy outdoors at the J&J Ranch in Thousand Oaks, California, in a session described as Playboy’s first outdoor centerfold shoot in more than 20 years. Cassidy also appeared on The Girls Next Door.
Education continued alongside modeling and dance. Cassidy earned a psychology degree from Shawnee State University and considered using some of her Playboy earnings to pursue a master’s degree or invest in property near home. The practical plans reflected her determination to maintain a life in Ohio rather than relocate permanently to Los Angeles despite the additional opportunities that Playboy provided.
Cassidy consequently became a frequent commuter, traveling to Los Angeles and Las Vegas for Playboy promotions before returning to Ohio in time to teach at her studio. She continued living on her family’s farm outside Portsmouth and remained surrounded by animals, including dogs, cats and a goat. For Cassidy, Playboy’s parties and travel existed alongside the dance school she owned and the rural community she consistently chose as home.
