Charlotte Kemp is an American actress, glamour and nude model. She was born Charlotte J. Helmkamp on January 27, 1961, in Omaha, Nebraska. Playboy named her its December 1982 Playmate at 21. Her appearance came during Playboy's polished, high-production 1980s period.

While completing studies in biology and psychology at Indiana University, Charlotte Kemp was approached to pose for Playboy — an unexpected detour that arrived before she had finished mapping out a life on paper. Her background, often noted for its mix of French, Welsh, German and Native American ancestry, fed a look that magazines found photogenic; the choice to step in front of the camera, though, led her into a shape of work that mixed image-making with movement, study and, later, the performative demands of film work.
That camera-first phase carried her overseas. She spent extended periods in Monte Carlo, London and Sweden, continuing editorial and commercial modeling while testing the borders of a screen career. By 1990 Kemp relocated to Los Angeles and incorporated International Sponsors Limited, moving some of her professional energy into business. Her interest in athletics and group events surfaced publicly in 1994 when she organized the Running Playmates team, an effort that paired fitness with camaraderie.
