Marlene Janssen Bio
Marlene Janssen is an American model and actress, born on September 2, 1958, in Rock Island, Illinois. Standing 5 feet 9 inches (175 cm) tall, she began building her career after moving to Los Angeles in 1978.
Janssen became Playboy’s Playmate of the Month in the November 1982 issue at the age of 24. Her centerfold was photographed by Arny Freytag. Following the appearance, she participated in Playboy videos and appeared in several Playboy special-edition publications.
Her work also included screen appearances during the 1980s. Janssen had a guest role as Playmate #2 in the 1986 Knight Rider episode “Knight of a Thousand Devils” and was credited in the comedy School Spirit and the 1985 video Shape-Up for Sensational Sex.
After her Playmate appearance, Janssen continued modeling in Los Angeles. Public biographical sources state that she returned to Illinois in 1989 and later settled in North Carolina.
Marlene Janssen remains best known for her November 1982 Playboy pictorial, which established her as part of the magazine’s early-1980s Playmate lineup.
