Karissa Shannon was Playboy’s Playmate of the Month for July 2009. She was presented together with her twin sister Kristina Shannon in the double Playmate feature “It Takes Two,” photographed by Arny Freytag.
Karissa and Kristina Shannon were introduced to Playboy audiences as 19-year-old identical twins from Florida. According to their July/August 2009 Playboy profile, the sisters had appeared on The Girls Next Door during the 55th Anniversary Playmate search before later becoming Playmates of the Month.
The Playboy feature described Karissa and Kristina as living at the Playboy Mansion and being closely associated with Hugh Hefner at the time. The article noted that Hefner had asked the twins to be his girlfriends and that they became part of the Mansion’s public life after Bridget Marquardt and Kendra Wilkinson moved on from the show.
Her Playmate data sheet listed the Shannon Twins’ measurements as 34B-26-34, with a height of 5 ft 10 in and a weight of 125 lb. Karissa has blonde hair and blue eyes.
