Kelly Gale was discovered at 13 outside a coffee shop in Gothenburg, although her parents initially resisted the idea of her becoming a model. She began professionally the following year, with H&M among her earliest clients. Fashion soon became international: Chanel provided her first major runway show in 2012, followed by work for designers including Tom Ford, Jean Paul Gaultier, Ralph Lauren and Diane von Fürstenberg.
Victoria’s Secret became one of Gale’s most recognizable associations. She first walked its Fashion Show in 2013 and returned in 2014, 2016, 2017 and 2018. Her editorial record included Teen Vogue, Vogue Italia, Vogue India and Elle, while Sports Illustrated Swimsuit added another prominent American publication to her career.
