Alison Waite is an American actress, glamour and nude model. Born Alison Michelle Waite on November 10, 1981, in Los Altos, California, she has also been credited as Alison Jordan. Playboy named her its May 2006 Playmate at 24. Her appearance came in the 2000s, as Playboy's print tradition began to share space with an expanding online presence.

Alison Waite arrived at Playboy while completing graduate work in gerontology at San Diego State University. To help pay her tuition, she worked as a waitress at Hooters, balancing school with a job that unexpectedly placed her close to the opportunity that would change her public profile. Her academic ambitions remained serious: she spoke about continuing into medicine and potentially pursuing a PhD.
The decisive introduction came at a Midsummer Night’s Dream party at the Playboy Mansion. There, Waite met Kimberley Conrad, the 1989 Playmate of the Year and Hugh Hefner’s wife, who asked whether she was already a Playmate and suggested that she should be. Playboy contacted Waite shortly afterward, leading to a test and then both the cover and centerfold of the May 2006 issue.
Her academic and Playboy milestones unfolded almost simultaneously. Waite graduated from San Diego State later that same month, making the period unusually concentrated: graduate school, a major magazine cover and a centerfold all converged within weeks. Playboy subsequently selected her as one of four finalists for the 2007 Playmate of the Year title, while additional appearances in Playboy videos extended her work with the company.
Television and hosting became increasingly important after her centerfold. Waite appeared on The Girls Next Door, Kendra and Holly’s World, and she worked as a field correspondent for E! Entertainment and Extra. She also continued hosting assignments connected with Playboy and took a small acting role in the comedy Deep in the Valley. Those jobs allowed her to move from still photography into interviewing and on-camera presentation, an area she increasingly regarded as a viable long-term career.
That broadcasting experience later led to higher-profile corporate work. In 2014 PepsiCo hired Waite as an on-camera correspondent for its Super Bowl festivities in Bryant Park, New York, where her interview subjects included chef David Burke and New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees. By then, the graduate student who had entered Playboy almost by chance had built substantial experience in modeling, television and field reporting.
