Janine Habeck is a German actress, glamour and nude model. She was born Janine Carmen Habeck on June 3, 1983, in Berlin, Germany. Playboy named her its September 2006 Playmate at 23. Her appearance came in the 2000s, as Playboy's print tradition began to share space with an expanding online presence.
Habeck has natural breasts, brown eyes and black hair. Her measurements are 36-26-36.
Janine Habeck entered Playboy without previous professional modeling experience. While working in Germany, she became curious about the magazine after looking through several issues in a doctor’s waiting room. A friend remarked that she resembled the women appearing in its centerfolds, prompting Habeck to submit test photographs. The experiment produced an unexpectedly significant result when the German edition selected her as its Playmate of the Month for February 2004.
Recognition within German Playboy developed quickly. Habeck was named the edition’s Playmate of the Year in 2005 and later that year received its Miss Centerfold title, chosen by readers in connection with the magazine’s 400th issue. She also joined an international group of Playmates for Playboy’s World Soccer Team pictorial, an assignment that helped bring her work to the attention of the American organization.
Hugh Hefner subsequently invited Habeck to the Playboy Mansion and selected her for an American centerfold, making her one of the relatively few German Playboy models to cross directly into the U.S. edition. She became close to Hefner and the women around the Mansion and experienced firsthand how differently Playboy operated in the United States, where Playmates were frequently incorporated into television, events and celebrity-oriented promotional work.
That broader exposure brought Habeck appearances on The Girls Next Door as well as acting opportunities. She took small roles in the comedy The Pool Boys and the remake of Night of the Demons, while German television included an appearance on TV total. Playboy remained part of her professional life as well: she modeled for newsstand special editions and returned to the Cyber Club for a Playmate Xtra feature in March 2008.
Habeck maintained ties to Berlin while continuing international Playboy promotional work. Growing up in West Berlin with a German father and Italian mother had given her a particularly memorable childhood perspective on the city, including recollections of the fall of the Berlin Wall. From an unsolicited submission made without modeling experience, she ultimately accumulated German monthly and annual Playboy honors, an American centerfold, international pictorials and television and film credits.
