Stephanie Glasson entered modeling unexpectedly after moving to Virginia Beach in 2001. While spending time with friends at the Oceanfront, she was approached by a Playboy photographer who encouraged her to consider posing for the magazine. Glasson had no previous modeling experience and initially needed some persuasion before deciding that the opportunity was worth exploring.
Playboy flew Glasson to Los Angeles for a test shoot, introducing her to professional modeling on a considerably larger stage than she had anticipated. She later returned to California to photograph her centerfold.
