Krista Kelly is a Canadian actress, glamour and nude model. She was born on June 18, 1977, in Toronto, Canada. Playboy named her its April 2004 Playmate at 26. Her appearance came in the 2000s, as Playboy's print tradition began to share space with an expanding online presence.

Krista Kelly entered modeling as a teenager after being recruited by a talent agency at 15. Growing up in Toronto, she attended Catholic school and remembered herself as a tomboy with a rebellious streak rather than an especially disciplined student. Her grandmother nicknamed her “Motor Mouth,” while Kelly recalled shortening her school tartan, staying out late and developing a taste for parties.
Professional modeling eventually brought Kelly into Playboy’s orbit through the magazine’s Special Editions. She appeared in two of those publications before auditioning during the nationwide 50th Anniversary Playmate Hunt. The search gave Playboy an unusually large pool of prospective centerfolds and also introduced Kelly to the magazine’s main edition.
Her first pictorial in the monthly magazine appeared in the December 2003 anniversary issue, alongside other women discovered through the 50th Anniversary search. Hugh Hefner subsequently selected Kelly for her own centerfold. The assignment strengthened an association with Playboy that had begun in the newsstand editions and would continue through several different projects.
