Britany Nola is a Canadian photographer, glamour and nude model. Born Britany Nola Patterson on April 12, 1991, in Toronto, Canada, she has also been credited as Brittny Nola, Britney Nola, and Britany Nolan. Playboy named her its November 2012 Playmate at 21. Her appearance came during Playboy's contemporary era of international and digital publishing.
Nola has natural breasts, blue eyes and blond hair. Her measurements are 34-26-36.
Britany Nola brought an international modeling career to Playboy, with experience ranging from high fashion in New York to more art-oriented projects in Europe. Raised in Toronto by a Black father and white mother, she credited her family with giving her two cultural perspectives while also making her aware of the judgments that could accompany being mixed-race. Both of her parents worked as therapists, and she described her upbringing as a strong foundation for handling those experiences.
Creative work interested Nola beyond modeling. She wrote short stories and poetry and began exploring acting, taking the lead role in the independent film American Ecstasy, directed by photographer Jonathan Leder. She was selective about acting, emphasizing that professional respect mattered more to her than accepting roles simply for visibility or fame.
Nola’s interests reflected a pronounced enthusiasm for film, literature, music and vintage style. Her route to Playboy came through American Ecstasy rather than a conventional casting call. According to Nola, Hugh Hefner saw the film’s trailer and took an interest in her, leading to her Playmate feature. She welcomed the opportunity because she regarded Playboy’s approach to nudity as a form of self-expression rather than something vulgar, and its presentation aligned naturally with her existing interest in fashion, photography and visual art.
At the time of her Playboy appearance, Nola divided her life between Manhattan and Los Angeles. In New York she shared a pre-war apartment with roommates and a dog, while Los Angeles increasingly connected her with Playboy and new professional opportunities. Both cities also kept her close to the modeling, art and literary communities that interested her, while American Ecstasy provided her with an early opportunity to test her ambitions as a film actress.
