Beth Williams came to Playboy with a background grounded in rural Ohio, higher education and commercial modeling. Raised on a dairy farm in Athens County, she spent much of her childhood outdoors, playing sports, riding four-wheelers and joining her father on hunting and fishing trips. That upbringing remained important to her even after modeling began taking her into a very different professional world.
Academically, Williams pursued a demanding path at Ohio University, studying health administration and long-term care before earning a master’s degree in health administration. She also completed training in gerontology and spoke seriously about eventually pursuing a doctorate. Her long-term ambition was practical and specific: to use income from modeling to help fund an assisted-living facility for elderly residents.
Before Playboy, Williams worked with commercial clients including Macy’s, Frontgate, Coquette Lingerie and Bed Bath & Beyond. She entered Playboy through its casting process and appeared in several Special Editions, including Nudes, Lingerie and College Girls. She was also selected as a Cybergirl and later named Playboy Special Editions Model of the Year for 2010, establishing a substantial history with the brand before testing for Playmate.
That progression culminated when Hugh Hefner selected Williams for a monthly Playmate feature, with Stephen Wayda photographing her centerfold. Williams had initially been nervous about posing nude, but she regarded Playboy as the one publication for which she felt comfortable making that choice.
Outside modeling, Williams worked as a brand representative for YOR Health, focusing on health and nutrition education for seniors. She also maintained a strong connection to country life, living on acreage in Athens County with gardens, a fishing pond and her two Yorkies, Kiki and Penelope. Her recreational interests ranged from tubing and whitewater rafting to skydiving and ATV riding, preserving the outdoors-oriented streak that had begun on her family’s dairy farm.
