Shera Bechard is a Canadian actress, glamour and nude model. She was born Shera Lorraine Marie Bechard on September 14, 1983, in Kapuskasing, Canada. Playboy named her its November 2010 Playmate at 27. Her appearance came during Playboy's contemporary era of international and digital publishing.

Shera Bechard established herself as a professional model after leaving the small northern Ontario community of Kapuskasing for Toronto at 18. Her portfolio eventually brought her before photographers including Marcus Klinko, George Whiteside, Ian Cuttler and Bryan Adams. Modeling also introduced her to filmmaker Andrew Thomas Hunt, who saw potential that would lead Bechard into an unexpected acting assignment.
Hunt conceived Bechard as the lead in his independent thriller Sweet Karma despite her lack of previous acting experience. Preparing for the demanding role required considerably more than conventional screen coaching: she took acting lessons, studied martial arts, learned to handle several types of weapons and completed pole-dancing training. The gamble proved successful, with Bechard receiving a Best Actress award at Fantastic Fest in Austin for her performance.
Playboy subsequently became another major element of her career. Stephen Wayda photographed her centerfold, and Bechard developed a close association with the magazine and its community.
