Carmella DeCesare is an American professional wrestler, actress, glamour and adult model. Born Carmella Danielle DeCesare on July 1, 1982, in Avon Lake, Ohio, she has also been credited as Carmella Danielle Garcia. Playboy named her its April 2003 Playmate at 20. She was later named Playmate of the Year 2004. Her appearance came in the 2000s, as Playboy's print tradition began to share space with an expanding online presence.
DeCesare has enhanced breasts, brown eyes and black hair. Her measurements are 34-24-35.
Carmella DeCesare first entered Playboy through television rather than a conventional modeling submission. She applied for Fox’s Girl Next Door: The Search for a Playboy Centerfold and reached the finalist stage, but became uncomfortable with the competitive atmosphere and withdrew. Hugh Hefner nevertheless remained interested and invited her to reconsider, leading to a Playboy test rather than the abrupt end she had expected.
Her relationship with the company developed quickly after that decision. DeCesare was selected as Cybergirl of the Week and then became Playboy Cybergirl of the Month in February 2003. Within only a few months she had moved from an abandoned reality-show competition into one of Playboy’s most visible digital modeling positions.
The momentum continued when Playboy selected DeCesare for its monthly centerfold. Her rise through the magazine was unusually rapid, and the following year she received its highest annual modeling distinction when she was named Playmate of the Year for 2004. She later appeared as the March model in the 2005 Playmates at Play at the Playboy Mansion swimsuit calendar, part of Playboy’s venture into a non-nude calendar format.
DeCesare’s profile extended beyond Playboy as her modeling career developed. In 2005 she discussed her breast augmentation on The Girls Next Door, explaining that the initial appearance reflected the early settling period after surgery. She later appeared in the 2008 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, adding one of the most recognizable mainstream swimsuit publications to a career already closely associated with Playboy.
Family and personal relationships remained central to the way DeCesare described herself. Of Italian and Puerto Rican heritage, she frequently emphasized the importance of friends and relatives over professional status and preferred to approach opportunities as they arrived. In 2007 she married NFL quarterback Jeff Garcia, by which point her career had progressed from a reality-show finalist who walked away from competition to Playboy Cybergirl, centerfold, Playmate of the Year and Sports Illustrated swimsuit model.
