Laurie Jo Fetter is an American actress, glamour and nude model. She was born on January 9, 1982, in Chicago, Illinois, and has also been credited as Laurie Fetter. Playboy named her its May 2003 Playmate at 21. Her appearance came in the 2000s, as Playboy's print tradition began to share space with an expanding online presence.
Fetter has natural breasts, blue eyes and blond hair. Her measurements are 34-24-35.
Laurie Jo Fetter’s interest in performing began long before Playboy. She started acting in school plays at eight and spent six years taking voice lessons, developing an early enthusiasm for entertainment that she hoped would eventually become a full-time profession. At 11, she also appeared on the cover of the national sewing magazine Sew News, giving her an unusually early introduction to print work.
Sports occupied an important place alongside those creative interests. Fetter played varsity soccer in high school and also trained in gymnastics and kickboxing during her teenage years. Growing up in Chicago gave her a firmly Midwestern background, but she eventually decided she wanted a substantial change of scenery and drove west to Los Angeles on impulse.
California proved well suited to her ambitions. Fetter pursued both modeling and acting after arriving in Los Angeles, where an opportunity to pose for Playboy eventually came her way. She accepted, viewing the magazine as part of the entertainment career she had wanted since childhood, and was selected as Playboy Playmate of the Month for May 2003.
Acting remained important after her centerfold. Fetter had a small role in the independent thriller Hiters and appeared as a guest on CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. Her Playboy work also reached an international audience: in 2005 she received an Award for Excellence for Best Actress at the Japanese Adult Broadcasting Awards for Playmate Profile, which aired through the Playboy channel on Japanese satellite broadcaster Sky PerfecTV!.
Fetter later divided her time between California and New York City while continuing to pursue entertainment work. She maintained friendships with other Playmates and described professional acting as the career she most wanted to sustain over the long term. Her early combination of stage work, vocal training, competitive sports and modeling ultimately gave her several different avenues into the entertainment industry.
