Kayla Rae Reid Bio
Kayla Rae Reid is an American glamour and nude model. She was born on July 5, 1991, in Fairfax, Virginia, and has also been credited as Kayla Rae Lochte, Kayla Lochte, Kayla Rae, Kayla Rochte and Kayla Reid. Playboy named her its July 2015 Playmate at 23. Her appearance came during Playboy's contemporary era of international and digital publishing.
Reid has enhanced breasts, blue eyes and blond hair. Her measurements are 32-26-36.
Kayla Rae Reid worked in promotional modeling before Playboy, most visibly as a Monster Energy “Monster Girl.” That role placed her at events and in brand promotions, giving her regular camera experience before she considered posing for the magazine. Earlier, she had been a cheerleader in high school and developed the outgoing, competitive personality that later suited promotional work.
Her route to Playboy began online when photographer Josh Ryan contacted her through social media about testing for the magazine. Reid initially hesitated at the prospect of nude modeling, but conversations with her friend and fellow Playmate Gemma Lee Farrell helped ease those concerns. Farrell’s positive experience gave Reid a clearer idea of what the opportunity might involve.
Reid was especially eager to receive the July slot because it was also her birthday month. The timing gave the assignment an additional personal significance, and she had hoped from the beginning that Playboy would choose her for that issue. Her sunny California image fit naturally with the presentation: she described herself as someone constantly chasing warm weather and happiest near water.
Away from modeling, Reid preferred the beach or pool and identified strongly with the relaxed outdoor lifestyle she had grown up around in Palm Springs. She also remembered herself as mischievous and adventurous when younger, frequently persuading friends to join whatever new idea had caught her attention. That appetite for trying things translated easily into a modeling career built around events, travel and unfamiliar opportunities.
Playboy became one of Reid’s most prominent modeling credits, arriving after her Monster Energy work rather than as her introduction to the industry. She approached the title as something she could actively build upon, speaking at the time about using the exposure to pursue further opportunities. In January 2016, several months after her Playboy appearance, she began a public relationship with Olympic swimmer Ryan Lochte.
