Amid the mounting conflict, voters removed her from office in an April 2 recall election by 339 votes to 176. Only days after the recall, Brooks posed for Playboy in a studio set designed to resemble a government office, complete with an antique desk and law books. The pictorial appeared through Playboy’s online platform rather than as a traditional Playmate of the Month feature.
