Michelle McLaughlin is an American actress, glamour and nude model. She was born Michelle Renee McLaughlin on June 19, 1986, in Redwood City, California. Playboy named her its February 2008 Playmate at 21. Her appearance came in the 2000s, as Playboy's print tradition began to share space with an expanding online presence.
McLaughlin has natural breasts, brown eyes and blond hair. Her measurements are 34-24-35.
Michelle McLaughlin came to Playboy while studying psychology and waiting tables at a café in Northern California. Modeling had not been an established career plan, but watching The Girls Next Door made the Playboy world seem accessible enough for her to take a chance. She submitted photographs to the magazine and was invited to Los Angeles for a test shoot.
Those first sessions led to appearances in Playboy’s Fresh Faces features and eventually to a Playmate test. Hugh Hefner approved McLaughlin for a centerfold, turning an unsolicited submission into a professional modeling opportunity. She left college as her modeling commitments increased, although she continued to regard education as unfinished business rather than something she had permanently abandoned.
McLaughlin’s interests remained closely connected to the California life she knew before Playboy. Childhood included hunting, fishing and camping with her father, while family cooking was another strong influence. As an adult she gravitated toward yoga, healthy food and beach trips with friends, spending much of her time around San Francisco. Baseball was another enthusiasm, particularly the San Francisco Giants.
Psychology nevertheless remained part of McLaughlin’s longer-term plans, and she spoke about eventually returning to school to pursue a master’s degree. She also experimented with acting, accumulating credits in Satan’s House of Yoga, Marty Jenkins and the Vampire Bitches and Bad Ideas. The screen work broadened her experience beyond still photography without displacing Playboy as the most prominent element of her modeling career.
Baseball later acquired a more personal significance when McLaughlin married former Major League Baseball player and broadcaster F. P. Santangelo on November 7, 2010. The couple later had a child. Her entry into Playboy remained strikingly informal: a psychology student and café waitress inspired by a television series simply sent in photographs, beginning a sequence that took her from Fresh Faces to a centerfold.
