Sasckya Porto entered modeling through beauty pageants in Brazil, beginning competitions at 15. She won Miss Paraíba and later placed fifth in the Miss Brazil competition connected with Miss World. After moving to the United States, she earned another pageant distinction as Miss Brazil USA, giving her the visibility and experience that helped turn modeling from an interest into a professional career.
New York became Porto’s base as that career developed. She had studied marketing at Boston University but left college when modeling opportunities drew her to the city, where she gained representation from Wilhelmina and Elite.
