Amber Campisi is an American actress, glamour and nude model. She was born Amber Lynn Campisi on June 21, 1981, in Dallas, Texas. Playboy named her its February 2005 Playmate at 23. Her appearance came in the 2000s, as Playboy's print tradition began to share space with an expanding online presence.

Amber Campisi came to Playboy shortly after completing her studies at Southern Methodist University, where she majored in communications and minored in English. Modeling was not yet her principal career: she was closely involved with her family’s Dallas restaurant business, working at Campisi’s Restaurant and learning an operation that had already been part of the city’s dining scene for decades. Customers at the restaurant were among those who encouraged her to audition for Playboy.
The opportunity arrived through Playboy’s nationwide 50th Anniversary Playmate Hunt in 2003. Campisi joined the casting line and earned a place in the December 2003 anniversary pictorial, introducing her to the magazine well before her eventual centerfold. Hugh Hefner subsequently offered her a Playmate opportunity, and Campisi accepted, bringing a distinctly business-minded perspective to an experience she had initially approached simply because it seemed worth trying.
Playboy also brought Campisi into the television world surrounding the magazine during the 2000s. She appeared on The Girls Next Door and Bridget’s Sexiest Beaches and became particularly close to Kendra Wilkinson. Dallas and the Campisi family business nevertheless remained central to her life. Her father, Corky Campisi, operated several restaurants, continuing a family tradition with an unusual connection to American history. Jack Ruby ate at Campisi’s Egyptian Restaurant the night before he killed Lee Harvey Oswald, and Campisi recalled that her grandfather was subsequently interviewed by the Warren Commission. For Amber, however, the restaurant was primarily a working family enterprise rather than a historical curiosity.
Campisi eventually returned to Dallas with plans to take a larger role in the business she had grown up around. She spoke proudly about becoming the first woman in her family to run the restaurant, extending a tradition already more than half a century old. Her communications education and practical management experience gave that ambition considerable substance: even during her Playboy years, she continued to identify herself as both a model and a working member of the Campisi restaurant family.
