Amanda Paige is an American glamour and nude model. Born Amanda Paige Blair on October 28, 1984, in Fayetteville, North Carolina, she has also been credited as Amanda Blair, Amanda Paige Gellar and Paige Gellar. Playboy named her its October 2005 Playmate at 20. Her appearance came in the 2000s, as Playboy's print tradition began to share space with an expanding online presence.
Paige has enhanced breasts, blue eyes and blond hair. Her measurements are 34-24-33.
Amanda Paige encountered Playboy before she had any professional modeling experience. While studying sociology at the University of Virginia, she was recruited for the magazine’s Girls of the ACC pictorial in 2004. The invitation placed her in front of a professional camera for the first time, turning what could have remained a college experience into the beginning of several years of work with Playboy.
The Cyber Club provided her next step. Paige was featured as a Coed and became Coed of the Month for April 2005, bringing her photographs to a wider Playboy audience. Hugh Hefner subsequently saw her work and selected her for a centerfold. The progression from first-time model to Coed and then Playmate happened quickly, without Paige having pursued a conventional agency career beforehand.
Education remained an important counterpoint to that sudden modeling success. Paige completed her bachelor’s degree in sociology at the University of Virginia, having previously attended Fayetteville Academy in North Carolina and participated in junior-varsity cheerleading. Playboy video appearances followed her centerfold, but the magazine did not entirely pull her away from the academic path she had already established.
Playboy returned Paige to one of its most prominent positions two years later when she appeared on the cover of the September 2007 issue. The assignment gave her another significant print credit after her centerfold and demonstrated that her relationship with the magazine continued beyond her original Playmate year. She also modeled under the professional name Paige Gellar and eventually made Los Angeles her home.
Paige regarded the Playboy years as an education in themselves, describing the experience as one from which she learned considerably. Her entry into the magazine had required no previous portfolio or modeling résumé: Playboy recruited her while she was still a university student, and her first professional shoot became the foundation for a Cyber Club feature, a centerfold, Playboy videos and a later magazine cover.
