Arlene Baxter was Playboy’s Playmate of the Month for December 1993. She was 31 years old when the issue was published. Her centerfold and accompanying pictorial, titled “Northwestern Exposure,” were photographed by Arny Freytag and Stephen Wayda.
Her Playmate Data Sheet listed her measurements as 34C-26-36, with a height of 5 feet 11 inches and a weight of 130 pounds. She has blue eyes and blond hair.
Baxter is the daughter of a Marine Corps jet pilot. She spent her early childhood in Mission Viejo, California, before her family moved to a 40-acre farm near Seattle. She attended Maywood Junior High School in Renton, Washington, where her classmates voted her “Friendliest Girl” and nicknamed her Birdlegs.
She began modeling as a teenager and gradually developed an international career in fashion, swimwear, lingerie, print advertising, runway work, and television commercials. Her assignments took her to Japan, Germany, France, and Italy, and she later spent several years working in New York.

Although she initially hesitated to pose nude, Baxter decided that appearing in Playboy would give her greater control over how her body was presented. She described the pictorial as a personal decision and said she became comfortable with the experience once the photography began.
