Marianne Gaba Bio
Marianne Gaba was an American actress, glamour and nude model. She was born Mary Ann Gaba on November 13, 1939, in Chicago, Illinois. Playboy named her its September 1959 Playmate at 19. Her appearance dates from the magazine's formative 1950s, when the Playmate format was still taking shape.
Gaba had natural breasts, blue eyes and blond hair. Her measurements are 34-24-34.
Crowned Miss Illinois in 1957, Marianne Gaba carried the pageant spotlight onto a broader stage: a fashion-forward modeling life and a string of screen opportunities that fit the era’s appetite for fresh faces. Her centerfold was shot by Mario Casilli, a lensman whose glossy, Hollywood-friendly approach suited Gaba’s camera-ready poise and helped translate regional notoriety into national exposure.
That exposure moved easily into feature films. Gaba turned up in a handful of small‑to‑mid‑budget pictures of the late 1950s and 1960s, among them Eighteen and Anxious, The Choppers and the sunlit Beach Blanket Bingo, the latter a touchstone of the beach‑party cycle that kept studios and audiences smiling through the decade. These parts never made her a leading lady, but they repeatedly placed her in the kind of convivial, youth‑driven entertainment where a photogenic presence mattered.
Television offered the same short, sharp chances to be seen. Guest turns on procedural and studio series such as Perry Mason, Dr. Kildare and Burke’s Law kept her working and visible to households beyond theatrical releases, the habitual route for actresses balancing modeling work with a steady stream of one‑off roles.
Gaba’s career arc — from state pageant winner to magazine centerfold to steady film and TV character work — maps a familiar mid‑century pathway into show business. It’s a compact story of opportunity in an era when image and modest screen appearances could combine to build a recognizable public life without long runs or marquee billing.
