Muirina Fae came to modeling with years of experience in another highly visual art form: dance. She began dancing at six and later became a ballroom dance instructor, developing an understanding of movement, discipline and expression that would become an important part of her work in front of the camera.
Fae considers herself a lifelong artist, with music and dance preceding modeling as outlets for her creativity. She credits her dance background with giving her a broad range of poses and emotions while also teaching her how to understand and respond to direction. Although naturally shy away from a shoot, she found that the presence of a camera brought out more colorful sides of her personality.

The collaboration proved successful, and Playboy subsequently selected her as Cybergirl of the Month for February 2018. “I was really surprised,” she recalled of receiving the title. “It was definitely exciting. I consider myself lucky to have had this opportunity!”
Her approach to modeling is closely tied to her ideas about art and beauty. “My passion as a model comes from the desire to create art that inspires people everywhere to see beauty in their everyday life,” Fae explained. She described photography as a pursuit of fleeting moments when pose, expression and composition come together as closely as possible to the image a model and photographer are trying to create.
That philosophy makes Fae’s Playboy work a natural extension of her broader artistic life. Dance gave her an early language of movement; ballroom instruction added discipline and technical awareness; modeling provided another medium in which to use both. Her February 2018 Cybergirl title marked an important Playboy milestone in a creative career built around movement, photography and the pursuit of memorable images.
