Over the next two years, Valentine built experience across glamour and fashion photography while pursuing modeling full-time. Playboy had long been one of her ambitions, but her route to the magazine came through an unexpected connection. During a trip to Los Angeles, she met model Emily Bloom, who mentioned Valentine on social media. Her photographs caught Playboy’s attention, and the magazine contacted her about shooting.
Valentine completed her first Playboy Plus shoot in July 2018. The collaboration quickly developed into something bigger when she was selected for Playboy’s September 2018 monthly honor. Away from the camera, Valentine is drawn to experiences rather than routine. Live concerts, exploring unfamiliar cities and traveling are among her favorite pursuits, with learning about different cultures particularly important to her. “Travel and learning new cultures make me most happy,” she told Playboy, reflecting an outlook shaped in part by her own move between countries.
That same independence comes through in Valentine’s approach to her personal life. Rather than defining herself through a relationship, she told Playboy, “I don’t worry about being with the right person, I worry about being the right person for myself.” From ballet and an early start in modeling to a chance social-media connection that led to Playboy, Valentine’s career was already gathering momentum when her September 2018 feature introduced her to a much wider audience.
