Kayla Garvin is an American glamour model and visual artist. She was born Kayla Jean Garvin on July 3, 1990, in Eugene, Oregon. Playboy named her its January 2018 Playmate at 27. Her appearance came during Playboy's contemporary era of international and digital publishing.
Garvin has natural breasts, brown eyes and brown hair. Her measurements are 32-24-34.
At college, Kayla Garvin majored in psychology and minored in art, with plans to continue to graduate school for a master’s degree in art therapy. Modeling was not part of that original plan. When the opportunity arrived, she took it, while continuing to make art of her own. Around the time of her Playboy feature, she was creating abstract work, which she described as freeing because it did not have to be perfect.
Frequent moves were part of Garvin’s childhood. She grew up as the middle of three siblings, and her family relocated several times, including a year in Las Vegas and a later move to Colorado. She described her mother as “gypsy-like” rather than attributing the moves to a military upbringing. Garvin told Playboy that the experience had left her adaptable and willing to try new things “within reason.”
Her January pictorial was photographed by Dove Shore for Playboy’s January/February 2018 issue. The issue paired Garvin with February Playmate Megan Samperi and also included an interview with former Playboy Enterprises chief executive Christie Hefner.
A feather tattoo on her left forearm carried a personal meaning. Garvin told Playboy that it represented freedom and served as a reminder not to let life become too heavy or restrictive. She also spoke about deliberately putting down her phone for a couple of hours at a time, describing those breaks as healthy and necessary “me time.”
Relationships brought out a similarly direct view. Garvin told Playboy that a person needed to be in a good place individually before entering a healthy relationship, advising people to focus on themselves first. She also described herself as someone who tried to bring people together, keep others happy and make sure things were going well.
