Shallan Meiers is an American actress, glamour and nude model. She was born Shallan Alice Meiers on September 30, 1981, in Chicago, Illinois. Playboy named her its September 2002 Playmate at 20. Her appearance came in the 2000s, as Playboy's print tradition began to share space with an expanding online presence.

Shallan Meiers had been modeling since thirteen, but Las Vegas gave her an early taste of something more theatrical. After living in Arizona and Reno, she settled in the city, worked as a showgirl and won the Little Miss Las Vegas 1999 pageant title. She also spent about a year studying international business and communications in college, an education that sat alongside a modeling career already several years old.
Television provided the bridge to Playboy. Meiers competed on Fox’s Who Wants to Be a Playboy Centerfold?, also promoted as Girl Next Door: The Search for a Playboy Centerfold, and finished as second runner-up. The experience mattered beyond the result. Describing herself as naturally shy, she said that putting herself “out on a limb” for a reality show left her more confident—an unusually candid assessment of what the competition gave her even without first place.
