Gail Stanton Bio
Gail Stanton was an American actress, glamour and nude model. Born Brenda Gail Stone on November 19, 1954, in Memphis, Tennessee, she has also been credited as Gail Stone-Stanton. Playboy named her its June 1978 Playmate at 23. Her appearance came during Playboy's 1970s print era, when the magazine reached the height of its mass-market influence.
Stanton had natural breasts, blue eyes and brown hair. Her measurements are 34-22-34.
Gail Stanton first caught Playboy's attention in the April 1977 issue, where she was featured in the "Girls of the New South" pictorial. With her classic Southern charm, striking looks, and radiant smile, it was only a matter of time before she graced the pages again, with her stunning centerfold captured by photographer David Chan.
Gail grew up as an all-American girl, complete with pom-poms-she was a high school cheerleader before stepping into the world of modeling. Her fresh-faced beauty and warm personality made her a natural in front of the camera, leading to a successful career in commercials and promotional work. She even became Miss Michelob Lite in the early 1980s, adding another glamorous title to her name.
Gail also had a brush with rock 'n' roll royalty. As a young model in Memphis, she went on a few dates with none other than Elvis Presley. Though their time together was brief, she remained one of the many Southern beauties who caught the King's eye.
After her Playmate days, Gail transitioned into acting, appearing in the 1984 comedy "Making the Grade". While she may not have pursued Hollywood fame for long, her legacy as one of Playboy's most beloved Southern Playmates remains strong.
Gail Stanton embodied the best of Playboy's late-'70s allure-a perfect mix of glamour, charm, and a little bit of rock 'n' roll history.
