Layla Harvest Roberts Bio
Layla Harvest Roberts is an American Playboy model and actress. She was born on October 22, 1974, in Kealakekua, Hawaii, United States. Her zodiac sign is Libra. She is also known professionally as Layla Roberts.
Layla Roberts was Playboy’s Playmate of the Month for October 1997, receiving the title at the age of 22. Her centerfold was photographed by Stephen Wayda and presented her as an established model beginning to expand her career into acting.
Layla Roberts is known for her blonde hair, brown eyes, and athletic appearance. During her Playboy career, her measurements were listed as 36C-24-36.
Born in Hawaii and raised in Los Angeles, Layla came from a family with experience in modeling. Her mother had worked as a professional model, and Layla later followed the same career path. She attended Beverly Hills High School, where she was a cheerleader and studied alongside future actress Alicia Silverstone. In her Playboy interview, Layla described herself as an overweight and socially isolated teenager who eventually lost weight and decided to pursue modeling.
Her first major modeling experience took her to Paris, but she found life there difficult and returned to Los Angeles. She was later approached in a supermarket by a scout from Elite Model Management, which helped restart her career. She subsequently worked with major modeling agencies and appeared in campaigns and publications in the United States and Europe.
Before becoming a Playmate, Layla had already begun working as an actress and dancer. She appeared briefly in Baywatch, played a supporting role in The Good Life with Sylvester Stallone, and appeared in Aerosmith’s music video for “Hole in My Soul.” She also studied martial arts while preparing for acting auditions and was an experienced horse rider, skier, and skydiver.
In her Playboy interview, Layla said her ambition was to appear in the best films of the early twenty-first century. She named Al Pacino, Faye Dunaway, and her mother among her role models, while her favorite films included Dog Day Afternoon, Scarface, Bonnie and Clyde, and Last Exit to Brooklyn. Her Playmate Data Sheet also reflected her interest in rock music, travel, Greece, and physically demanding activities.
Following her Playboy appearance, Layla continued working in film and television. Her credits include Armageddon in 1998, Beowulf in 1999, and Red Letters in 2000. She also appeared in Playboy video productions and lingerie-themed special editions.
Alongside acting, Layla continued her modeling career and appeared in publications including GQ, FHM, and Maxim. She also worked on advertising campaigns for L’Oréal in Paris.
Layla later married internet entrepreneur John Hilinski. The couple have a daughter, Paris Emerson Hilinski, born in 2003.
