Jacquelyn Prescott is an American actress, glamour and nude model. She was born Jacquelyn Prestowitz on September 30, 1936, in Redlands, California. Playboy named her its September 1957 Playmate at 20. Her appearance dates from the magazine's formative 1950s, when the Playmate format was still taking shape.

Jacquelyn Prescott’s route into Playboy began at work rather than through an agency or casting call. She was employed as a private secretary to an advertising executive when a member of Playboy’s sales staff noticed her during a business meeting. Prescott’s job involved far more than answering phones: the magazine described her as her employer’s troubleshooter, organizer and all-purpose “Girl Friday,” suggesting someone already accustomed to keeping a busy office running smoothly.
Her ambitions away from secretarial work were distinctly creative. Prescott enjoyed sketching and dreamed of designing costumes for a lavish Broadway musical, an aspiration that placed fashion, drawing and theater much closer to her interests than conventional office life. The Playboy opportunity therefore offered an unexpected chance to move, however briefly, from helping manage somebody else’s business to becoming the subject of a major photographic assignment herself.

It was a compact career turn, but one whose significance grew as the photographer behind it became one of Playboy’s recurring visual craftsmen.
