Teela LaRoux Bio
Teela LaRoux is an American actress, glamour and fashion model. She was born on March 28, 1989, in Seattle, Washington. Playboy named her its July 2019 Playmate at 30. Her appearance came during Playboy's contemporary era of international and digital publishing.
LaRoux has natural breasts, brown eyes and black hair. Her measurements are 32-24-34.
Teela LaRoux entered modeling unusually early after being discovered while working at the front desk of her mother’s beauty salon. Raised by her mother and grandmother, she began traveling for assignments in her teens and graduated from high school at 16. Although offered a four-year college scholarship, LaRoux chose international modeling instead, a decision that put her on the road at an age when most of her peers were still in school.
Europe became an important part of those formative years. LaRoux lived in Paris for several years and worked within the fashion world, building experience through editorial assignments, photography and frequent travel. She later said the independence required by living abroad forced her to mature quickly, while giving her an education in people, places and professional life that she believed she could not have gained in a classroom.
On-camera projects occasionally accompanied her modeling work. Her credits included the anthology film ABCs of Death 2 in 2014, the 2016 music video for I See Stars’ “Calm Snow,” and the independent feature Betablock3r: Fired Up in 2018. These appearances added film and music-video production to a career otherwise centered largely on photographic work.
Ana Dias photographed LaRoux’s Playboy pictorial, while the accompanying interview addressed a considerably more personal subject. LaRoux revealed that she had experienced an eating disorder for a decade and discussed how holistic healing and nutrition helped change her relationship with her body. The experience encouraged an interest in helping other models and promoting healthier attitudes toward body image within an industry whose pressures she understood firsthand.
Nutrition and personal training subsequently became recurring interests, alongside LaRoux’s enthusiasm for travel and physically adventurous experiences. She described herself as hardworking, goofy and adventurous, and spoke about sharing an appetite for adrenaline with her boyfriend. Her decision to decline a college scholarship at 16 ultimately led to years of international travel, including the extended period she spent living and working in Paris.
