Sokolova was Playboy’s Playmate of the Month for April 1999. Her pictorial was photographed by Stephen Wayda and Arny Freytag, and the magazine presented her as a Moscow-born model who came to the United States through the University of Maryland and the Hawaiian Tropic International competition in Las Vegas.
