Lieko English

Playboy Playmate of The Month for June 1971

Lieko English Bio

Lieko English is a Japanese Playboy Bunny, glamour and nude model. She was born on June 3, 1947, in Okinawa, Japan. Playboy named her its June 1971 Playmate at 23. Her appearance came during Playboy's 1970s print era, when the magazine reached the height of its mass-market influence.

English has natural breasts, hazel eyes and brown hair. Her measurements are 36-23-36.

Lieko English made Playboy history as the first Japanese-born Playmate, the first American Playmate of Japanese ancestry, and the first hapa Playmate, gracing the magazine in June 1971. Her centerfold, a stunning blend of elegance and exotic beauty, solidified her as a standout in Playboy's lineup. But her connection to the brand started even earlier-she had already been featured as one of the Bunnies of 1970 in the August 1970 issue and again as one of the Bunnies of 1972 in the October 1972 issue.

Her striking looks and natural poise led her to compete in the 1965 Miss Universe pageant, where she represented Okinawa on an international stage. Her journey then took her to Playboy, where she became a sought-after Bunny at the Playboy Clubs in both Atlanta and Chicago. Her Playboy career didn't stop there-Lieko was also a Jet Bunny, working aboard Hugh Hefner's personal DC-9 plane.

As a trailblazer in Playboy's history, Lieko English embodied both grace and glamour, paving the way for greater diversity in the magazine's iconic lineup. Her journey from beauty queen to centerfold to high-flying Bunny remains a testament to her captivating presence and enduring legacy.
