Lorrie Menconi is an American glamour and nude model. She was born on February 24, 1948, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Playboy named her its February 1969 Playmate at 20. Her appearance came during the 1960s, as Playboy grew into a major force in American magazine publishing.
Menconi has natural breasts, green eyes and red hair. Her measurements are 37-21-36.
Lorrie Menconi’s attachment to San Diego ran deeper than simple hometown pride. She loved the city’s climate, beaches and easy access to the outdoors, and spoke about the San Diego Zoo almost as if it were a second home. Animals fascinated her enough that she once entertained the idea of owning a zoo herself, while sailing, swimming and almost anything involving water filled much of her free time. Trips into northern California added mountains and camping to the mix, but San Diego remained the place she was happiest returning to.
Creativity ran through the family as well. Menconi’s mother worked as a decorator and author, and Lorrie joined her in a shop specializing in rattan furniture. She varnished pieces, accompanied her mother on buying trips to Los Angeles and developed an interest in interior decorating of her own. She liked to joke that the impulse might have been inherited—or simply explained by being a Pisces, a sign she took with cheerful seriousness.
Her centerfold was photographed by William Figge and Ed DeLong, and the resulting pictorial leaned toward a lighter, sunlit mood rather than elaborate staging. One memorable image showed Menconi floating in a pool with her hair in pigtails, accompanied by the playful caption, “A pigtailed Lorrie pools her resources.” A less obvious detail emerged only later: Menconi was in the early stages of pregnancy when the photographs were made, something the original Playboy editorial did not mention.
After modeling, Menconi moved into work far removed from magazine sets. She spent time in veterinary care before later moving into sales and devoted much of her life to raising four children. That family chapter eventually brought an unexpected return to Playboy history when one of her daughters, actress Ashlee Ricci, later modeled for the magazine as well.
Mother and daughter subsequently appeared together at fan events including Glamourcon, giving Menconi’s story an unusually neat generational echo. Her Playboy years were brief, but the details around them—a love of animals, a creative family life, an unmentioned pregnancy and a daughter who later entered the same orbit—make her place in the archive considerably more distinctive than a single centerfold might suggest.
