Ashley Doris is an American actress, glamour and nude model. She was born Ashley Doris Wilson on November 1, 1989, in West Hartford, Connecticut. Playboy named her its March 2013 Playmate at 23. Her appearance came during Playboy's contemporary era of international and digital publishing.
Doris has natural breasts, brown eyes and black hair. Her measurements are 32-22-34.
Ashley Doris came to Playboy from a life already shaped by creative pursuits. She had studied ballet for 15 years, worked as a florist and modeled on the side while living in Connecticut. Long before moving seriously into acting, she was also an enthusiastic reader, gardener and cook, interests that reflected the artistic temperament she later brought to both modeling and performance.
Her Playboy discovery was almost accidental. While vacationing in Las Vegas with a friend, Doris was waiting for an elevator when a casting agent noticed them near a Playboy casting call taking place in the hotel. She agreed to a test shoot and was booked only a few weeks later. Playboy originally considered her for an amateur feature, but Hugh Hefner saw the photographs and selected her instead for the March Playmate position.
Photographer Sasha Eisenman shot Doris’s centerfold, making her the first Playmate from Connecticut. She remembered the production particularly fondly for its location, expansive views and styling, and the assignment introduced her to a much larger professional audience. At the time, however, she still maintained many of the ordinary routines she enjoyed at home, including growing flowers in her own garden and spending evenings with close friends.
Acting eventually became the more substantial direction of her career. Doris had first discovered an interest in performance at 14 after taking an acting class in New England and playing Nora in Brighton Beach Memoirs. She later attended Central Connecticut State University and continued developing her craft through programs including The BGB Studio, Margie Haber Acting Studio, Alexander Techworks, Warner Loughlin Studios and Anthony Meindl’s Actor Workshop.
After relocating to Los Angeles, Doris began securing work across film, television and commercials. Her later screen credits included NCIS: Hawai‘i, Lantern’s Lane and Dirty Little Deeds, extending a creative career that had begun with ballet, theater and modeling. The path from a chance Las Vegas casting encounter to professional acting ultimately gave her Playboy appearance a place within a much broader record of performance and visual work.
