Summer Altice Bio
Summer Altice is an American actress, DJ, glamour and nude model. She was born Summer Danielle Altice on December 23, 1979, in Fountain Valley, California. Playboy named her its August 2000 Playmate at 20. Her appearance came in the 2000s, as Playboy's print tradition began to share space with an expanding online presence.
Altice has natural breasts, brown eyes and brown hair. Her measurements are 34-23-33.
Summer Altice built her first serious competitive career on a volleyball court rather than in a studio. At Fountain Valley High School, she lettered in volleyball for four seasons and later signed with San Diego State University as an outside hitter. She played for the Aztecs for two years while studying communications and earned All-WAC Academic honors in 1999 after maintaining a 3.85 GPA.
Modeling developed alongside athletics. In 1995, Altice won YM magazine’s cover girl contest and later signed with Elite Model Management. Commercial assignments followed, including work for Guess and Mossimo. By the end of the 1990s, however, eight years of competitive volleyball had begun to take a toll, and Altice increasingly shifted her attention toward modeling and entertainment.
In spring 2000, she transferred to UCLA to continue studying communications while giving herself more room to pursue modeling professionally. Playboy became part of that transition from collegiate athlete to full-time model. Altice later said that, before becoming a Playmate, volleyball had dominated her life; the magazine arrived at a moment when she was ready to build a career outside the sport.
Acting became one of her next priorities. Altice went on to appear in films including Wedding Crashers and You, Me and Dupree and also appeared on Entourage. In Los Angeles she developed another line of work as a DJ, adding nightclub and event performances to a career that already included athletics, fashion modeling and screen roles.
Altice’s early trajectory is unusually easy to trace because the stages overlap so clearly: high-school volleyball led to an athletic scholarship, the YM contest led to Elite and commercial modeling, and her move from San Diego State to UCLA coincided with a stronger push into entertainment. Playboy was not the beginning of her public career, but the point at which competitive athletics stopped being its center. From there, she redirected the same discipline into modeling, acting and DJ work.
