Julie Lynn Cialini is an American Playboy model, glamour model, actress, and television personality. She was born Julie Lynn Smith on November 14, 1970, in Rochester, New York. Her zodiac sign is Scorpio. She is also known as Julie Cialini.
Julie was Playboy’s Playmate of the Month for February 1994 and was subsequently named Playboy’s Playmate of the Year for 1995. She was 23 when her original pictorial, titled “Precious Jules,” appeared in the magazine. Her measurements were listed as 34B-24-35. She stood 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighed 126 pounds.
Julie grew up in Rochester with her mother and two sisters. Her parents divorced when she was nine, leaving her mother to support the family. Julie later recalled that her mother worked hard and took out a second mortgage on the family home to raise her daughters.
Her school years were difficult. Julie described herself as very thin and said she was not accepted by the popular crowd. She graduated from East Rochester High School in 1988. By the time she attended her five-year reunion, she had begun working as a model and enjoyed returning with a new sense of confidence.
Julie had loved ice skating as a child and remained a devoted hockey fan. Her Playboy pictorial incorporated this interest through photographs taken with players from the Rochester Americans, her favorite minor-league hockey team. She was also strongly attached to animals and regularly cared for strays while traveling for modeling assignments. She had five cats at her home in Rochester and said she wanted to use her success to improve conditions for animals.
Her modeling career took her to cities including Milan and Miami Beach. Julie said that she enjoyed the attention and confidence that modeling gave her, while her Playmate data sheet listed an ambition to build a career comparable to Cindy Crawford’s rather than simply become wealthy.
After being selected as Playmate of the Year, Julie appeared in numerous Playboy videos and special editions, including productions from the Wet & Wild and Sexy Lingerie series. She also worked as a model on the Doug Davidson version of The Price Is Right during the 1994–1995 television season.
Julie later expanded into acting. Her screen credits include South Beach Academy, Cover Me, High Tide, Watchful Eye, Wolfhound, and American Crime. In Watchful Eye, she played the character Amber, while her appearance in High Tide was credited as Annie.
