Luann Lee

Playboy Playmate of The Month for January 1987

Luann Lee Bio

Luann Lee is an American actress, glamour and nude model. She was born Luann Laureen Lee on January 28, 1961, in Santa Monica, California. Playboy named her its January 1987 Playmate at 25. Her appearance came during Playboy's polished, high-production 1980s period.

Lee has natural breasts, blue eyes and blond hair. Her measurements are 35-23-34.

Graduating a year early from Thousand Oaks High School, Luann Lee moved quickly into professional life: by her early twenties she was one of the youngest licensed agents at Metropolitan Life Insurance and soon shifted into marketing, first as a national sales representative and later as a marketing director. Those early stops—finance, sales, creative promotion—provided an unusually broad apprenticeship for someone who would make her living in front of and behind the camera.

Following her centerfold, Lee became a recognizable presence across Playboy’s ancillary platforms, appearing in several of the magazine’s videos and special editions. Her video centerfold was issued as a standalone feature, a rare nod that placed her among the handful of Playmates whose moving-image packages stood apart from compilation releases. She also took the stage in Playboy’s Girls of Rock’n’Roll revue at the Maxim Hotel in Las Vegas, where glamour met live performance.

Her on-camera work extended into conventional entertainment: small screen and film turns included parts in Beverly Hills Cop II and Terminal Exposure, guest appearances on sitcoms and dramas such as Married…With Children, Quantum Leap and Malcolm & Eddie, and a brief film appearance as a television reporter in Volcano. These credits kept Lee visible across genres, from action comedy to late-night television-style fare.

Off-camera, she spent more than a decade in live television production and presenting for outlets that included FOX, FX and CBS, co-hosting shows like That’s Life, The Pet Department, Back Chat and the late-night game show Night Games. In 2000 she added a staff role to the résumé as U.S. Entertainment Editor for OK! magazine and hosted the weekend radio program Luann on the Loose. Now based in Los Angeles, Lee’s career reads as a practical catalogue of media work—performer, presenter and editor—nimble enough to cross the studio lot and the newsroom without losing sight of either.
