Sandy Cagle Bio
Sandy Cagle is an American actress, glamour and nude model. She was born on February 2, 1957, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Playboy named her its February 1980 Playmate at 22. Her appearance came during Playboy's polished, high-production 1980s period.
Cagle has natural breasts, blue eyes and brown hair. Her measurements are 36-25-36.
Her centerfold was photographed by Pompeo Posar, a collaboration that placed Sandy Cagle squarely in the magazine’s visual tradition without reducing her to a single image. Posar’s work favored clean, studio-lit compositions and a quietly composed sensuality; the resulting spread put Cagle’s poise and camera savvy on full display, the kind of pictorial that editors and readers remember long after a single issue sells out.
Before the cameras, she worked on the floor at the Playboy Resort in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, where she performed the duties of a Bunny. Those months around the resort circuit gave her a practical familiarity with the brand’s staged hospitality and publicity demands, experience she carried into her photographed work without turning it into a career slogan.
Cagle’s appeal was not confined to the United States: she appeared on the cover of the Japanese edition of the magazine four times in a single year, an unusually intense run for an American model and a clear sign of sustained editorial interest abroad. Those covers, together with the centerfold, made her one of the more visible faces from her era in international editions.
Playful without excessive flourish, her portfolio from that period reads as a compact study in late‑1970s/early‑1980s glamour photography — studio-crafted, internationally circulated, and distinctly photographic in its priorities. The records that survive—the Posar session, the Lake Geneva service work, the multiple Japanese covers—leave a concise, well-documented portrait of a model whose career threaded commercial poise and editorial attention across borders.
