Denise McConnell Bio
Denise McConnell is a German actress, glamour and nude model. She was born on December 23, 1958, in Wiesbaden, Germany. Playboy named her its March 1979 Playmate at 20. Her appearance came during Playboy's 1970s print era, when the magazine reached the height of its mass-market influence.
McConnell has natural breasts, brown eyes and black hair. Her measurements are 37-24-33.
Her centerfold was photographed by Nicholas DeSciose alongside Pompeo Posar, a pairing of lenses that the magazine used to frame more than a pose: the imagery favors a composed, studio-born clarity that emphasized presence as much as form. Those pages carried the kind of careful lighting and ordering that made individual spreads read like a photographer’s study in temperament and line.
Away from the still image, McConnell also participated in the short-lived live-and-record novelty of the "Singing Playmates," a project that put several magazine personalities into a musical context and let them be heard as well as seen. That detour into performance underlined a practical versatility—an ability to step from portraiture into a different, stage-adjacent mode of attention without changing the register of glamour.
McConnell moved between these formats without resorting to artifice; the centerfold and the recorded performances together suggested a playful, multimedia approach to publicity that was typical of the period’s attempts to broaden a model’s appeal. Seen now in the archive, the combination of distinctive imagery and an unexpected musical sideline gives her feature a quietly distinctive footprint among contemporaneous Playmate profiles.
