Majken Haugedal Bio
Majken Haugedal is a Danish glamour and nude model. She was born Majken Kruse on March 26, 1947, in Copenhagen, Denmark. Playboy named her its October 1968 Playmate at 21. Her appearance came during the 1960s, as Playboy grew into a major force in American magazine publishing.
Haugedal has natural breasts, blue eyes and blond hair. Her measurements are 34-22-34.
Photographed by Pompeo Posar, Majken Haugedal’s centerfold favored the soft, natural light and quiet intimacy that defined much of Posar’s best work. The images trade theatricality for composure: a precise camera rapport that lets personality register without theatrical pose. That restrained elegance helped the spread endure in readers’ memories beyond a single issue.
Playboy editors took note. According to contemporaneous accounts in the magazine’s pages, Majken was regarded as a strong contender when conversations turned to the Playmate of the Year selection for 1969; the eventual honoree was Connie Kreski. Photographers and staff remembered the choice as difficult—Posar himself is reported to have found the two women evenly matched on different virtues of image and temperament.
After a period away from the pages, she reappeared for the magazine’s nostalgia-minded revisits in the 1980s, contributing photographs to the April 1984 pictorial "Playmates Forever! Part Two." The return was less an attempt to reclaim youth than a tidy editorial reminder: the centerfold that once made an impression could still speak to another generation of readers when framed by memory and magazine history.
Majken’s story, as preserved in those spreads and the recollections around them, is a modest portrait of continuity—the work of a photographer and a subject whose collaboration made a single centerfold into something the magazine could revisit years later without feeling stale. The images survive as evidence that a carefully composed fold can keep its conversation with the camera across decades.
