In 2002, the Florida blonde joined the women competing on Fox’s Girl Next Door: The Search for a Playboy Centerfold, a reality-TV hunt for the next woman worthy of stepping into Playboy’s spotlight.
Hadorn didn't walk away with the Centerfold crown, but she found something unexpectedly memorable in the experience. “The coolest part of the show was bonding with all those girls,” she told Playboy. “After I left, I missed them.” Competition may have been the premise, but behind the cameras Katie discovered a group of women sharing one wonderfully unusual adventure.
And losing the television contest certainly didn't mean Playboy was finished with her. Hadorn had made an impression on viewers, and fans wanted another look.
